A Modest but Urgent Proposal

There has been much discussion over the past few years, after a decade (or more) of illegal voting (and, of course, of illegals voting as well), about how to American voting secure from those who would hijack the process. Some have denied the evidence, which, of course, only indicates how clever the illegal voters and their masters are in hiding their mischief. Reports, however, have come in from every state, especially from Republican governors—which is no surprise given that Republicans have been most eager to bring these dangerous practices to light. As the saying goes, where there is smoke, there is fire!

Despite the attempts of many to use redistricting to restrict illegal voters, the problem continues.

There is also a concern, certainly among Republicans, but also among a great many independents, that the chief culprits are encouraged by, or even a part of, the Democrat Machine (DM). Traditionally the party of immigrants, it is increasingly clear the that the DM is the party of illegal immigrants, and the proof is found in how avidly the party supports the so-called rights of illegals, presumably including the right to vote.

Voting is the sacred right of American citizens, period! Perhaps Madison was correct to prefer, at least for the Senate, that the suffrage be granted only to property and business owners, because, as he once wrote, this would preserve “the two cardinal objects of Government, the rights of persons, and the rights of property.” But that time has passed, sadly.

Since the efforts of Republicans have failed to curb all the underground voting that has plagued the country over the past couple of decades, my proposal is that we restrict voting to those who are card-carrying members of the Republican Party and, of course, any other small parties that meet muster at the state level. To those who say this would be illegal or unconstitutional, I say there is a simple route to legality: With majorities in the House and Senate, a bill can rapidly make its way to signature by our new President who, I have no doubt, will send out a few Tweets and then sign on the dotted line.

This sensible approach to reforming and safeguarding the ballot for future generations would no doubt be challenged in court. However, now that we have a majority on the Supreme Court, once again I believe that it will pass Constitutional muster.

The naysayers will say that there is no precedent for such action. Nonsense! The Communist Party was similarly ruled to be illegal a few generations ago, and this raised few objections, and the same will be true in this case. Both the DM and the Communists are left-wing conspiracies which, in their separate decades, did what they could to diminish the rights of all true Americans.

And so, fellow Americans, I ask your support in protecting the sacred franchise that so many have fought and died for, not least in the Revolutionary War. It goes without saying that there was no DM at that time; had there been, no doubt we would have failed to gain independence from the English King. But now, with your support of this legislation, we shall see the end of the DM Party, and America will be truly Great Again.
